One of the important wireless technology widely in use today is CDMA which has been adopted by     many service providers. For anybody aspiring to start their career in the wireless communication        industry, the knowledge of the CDMA technology is a must. This course provides the basic knowledge on    the working of the CDMA technology.

The basic concepts related to the working of the spread spectrum        technique, the CDMA Link Structure, Signal Flow and Call Processing are covered along with CDMA            NSS, BSS, RF Engineering , Handset Features & Programming etc. A field visit to the actual working system is also included to provide better understanding of the technology.

On completion of this course the participant will be able to -

Describe CDMA as a multiple access technique.

Describe the architecture and design considerations of CDMA wireless system

Describe the fundamentals of orthogonal and noise codes

Describe the physical layer including the frequency allocations, the generation of the forward link channels, and the reverse link channels.

Describe the power control process including reverse open loop, reverse closed loop, and forward power control

Describe the structure of CDMA signaling channels, call processing and the key messages transmitted on those channels

Describe the hand-off process and related parameters including search windows and pilot Sets
